The San Jose Firefighter's Burn Foundation is looking for volunteers to participate in a Fill-the-Boot Fundraiser on Saturday, November 29th, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. All the proceeds will go towards the support and treatment of burn survivors. Nurses from the Valley Medical Center Burn Unit will join Firefighters in a team effort to support this cause.

Volunteers will stand at the intersection of Almaden Expressway and Blossom Hill Road in San Jose to encourage holiday shoppers to ‘Fill the Boot'. Members have been approved by the Fire Chief to wear turnouts, uniform shirts, helmets and of course, boots.

Please call Matt Chekouras at 408-612-2255 or email chekourasm@gmail.com if you are interested in participating.

"Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Albert Einstein

The Burn Foundation and Nurses/Staff at VMC hosted the annual picnic behind SJFD's Station 10 with Burn Survivors and their families, along with Burn Doctors, Burn Nurses, and Burn Techs from VMC. Jumpy house, snow-cone machine, catered food, games and prizes.

Think Global. Act Local.

Seven Counties.
One Burn Unit.
One Burn Foundation.
